For all my earthy friends, I present to you the Woodland Faun Beanie. I knew I needed a faun version of this hat. The whole hat is one piece, there is no sewing on the horns!!

This hat includes, 2 sizes, 2 hat tie options, with an extra hat tie mod in the video.

The child size is slightly large on my 20 months old, fits perfectly for my almost 5 year old, and it is a bit snug in my almost 12 year old. (These are all approximate sizing fits, it will all depend on your tension.)

This pattern includes a video link for a private video to help you through the pattern. (I do not go step by step, just stop and explain the more complicated parts)

Supplies:

  • Adult: Worsted Weight Yarn, Red Heart Brushed in Clay 6.6 oz (Approx. 334 yards)
  • Child: Worsted Weight Yarn, Red Hearth Brushed in Khaki 4.7 oz (Approx. 238 yards)
  • Crochet Hooks M/N (9 mm)
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Stitch Markers (a bunch of them, stitch marker galore)
  • Fabric Paint (optional, if you would like to add some shading)
  • OPTIONAL: I used faux leather strips, charms, chains, and beads to create the hat ties. You could also use different textured yarns, feathers, or any other sort of adornments.
